Find answers to your questions about low testosterone.
Low testosterone affects 25% of men over the age of 30! If you're wondering if you may have low testosterone, you're not alone.
Many people have questions about low testosterone. That’s why we gathered these low testosterone FAQs to answer the most common questions we get from men wanting to learn more about low T and Volonte.
1How do I know if I qualify for testosterone replacement therapy?
First, we recommend that you use our self-check guide to determine if you are currently experiencing any symptoms of low testosterone. If you are, your next step is to understand if these symptoms are related to low T levels.
You can then schedule your free, same-day low T screening, which will take less than five minutes. If your results come back and are 400 or below, you may qualify for low testosterone treatments.
2Are there any side effects of testosterone therapy?
There are no known serious side effects of testosterone therapy. Initially, the treatment may cause acne, excessive hair growth, and headaches, but these are generally short term, and we can assist with symptom management right in our office.
3How much of a time commitment is testosterone replacement therapy?
If you qualify for Volonte’s low testosterone therapy, treatments normally occur on a weekly basis. However, treatments don’t require an appointment and can be administered in 10 minutes or less. Simply stop in during our normal business hours.
4Does Volonte accept insurance?
Not at this time. However, you may still submit a claim to your insurance provider to see if your treatment will be covered. If you have additional questions about insurance and treatment costs, call us or stop by our office during normal business hours.
5Do I need a referral from my doctor?
No, you do not need a medical referral or any orders to receive testosterone replacement therapy at Volonte. However, we commonly partner with other physicians and clinics to provide treatments for their patients.
6How soon can I expect to see results from Volonte’s testosterone therapy?
While everyone responds differently to the treatment, most of our patients begin to see an increase of energy within 30 days and see full benefits by around three months. Patients generally continue to experience the benefits of the therapy while receiving treatments.
